For parents planning a birthday
A birthday list that ends the duplicate presents.
Grandparents, aunts and classmates' parents all ask what to get. Send one link: they claim a gift or chip in on the big one, and nobody doubles up.
Free for one live event at a time.
How it works
Three steps, about five minutes.
1
Build the list
Add a few gifts at different prices, and one bigger gift people can chip in on together.
2
Share it with the invitation
Guests claim something to bring or chip in from their phone. A claimed gift is marked so no one else buys it.
3
Keep the day about the day
Add a “your presence is enough” note or a charity link, so anyone who'd rather just come can do that.
A short guide
A gentler way to answer “what do they want?”
A short list beats a long one. Six to ten ideas across a range of prices gives every guest something that fits, and one larger gift lets the people who want to go in together do so.
Say out loud that gifts are optional. A line on the list such as “no gift needed, we just want you there” takes the pressure off, and some families add a favorite charity for anyone who'd like to give that way.
Let the birthday kid help. Children can add ideas to their own list from a private link; you approve what guests see, and the child never sees who is bringing what.
Questions
Good to know.
- Do guests need an account?
- No. Guests open the link and give in a minute, with no account and nothing to download.
- How do guests avoid buying the same thing?
- When someone claims a gift it shows as claimed for everyone else. If their plans change they can release it from the link in their email.
- Can several people go in on one big gift?
- Yes. Any gift with a price can be chipped in on. Guests pay you directly in Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle or cash, and Wrapt keeps track of what has come in.
- What does it cost?
- It is free for one live event at a time, with unlimited gifts and guests. Wrapt Plus is $9.99 a year for unlimited live events. There are no fees on gifts, ever.
